Marla's first album "A Brief Night Out" produced by Tomas Donker & Marla Mase really caught my eye from day one, My thoughts were Wow! Ten out of ten her work is so unique.
She is an inspiration to her family, I and many other people worldwide making a huge impact on reality, definitely one to watch out for, in my book everything the public would require from an artist.
Marla's music is electric ranging in styles from classic rock-n-roll to world to funk to pop to soul to avant-garde she is the quintessential Art Rock Artist - a writer of plays, monologues, erotica, blogs and poems and her live performances are explosive.
Her newest project/tune AnnaRexia a reggae tune featuring Hawk of Bill Laswell's Method of Defiance is groundbreaking. Still unreleased, this tune, will change the way we look at popular music and like everything Mase does it pushes the envelope just enough to make us notice.
